First Church of God

I’m sitting here trying to pray, trying to just breathe, trying to connect at a deep level with my Abba Father, but I’m terribly distracted.   What is it that pulls my mind away from intimacy with God?  It’s not the phone, or music, or a million other possible distractions buzzing around me like mosquitoes.  I’m getting good at swatting those things away.  No, actually my distraction right now comes from my own desire to write this blog.  Instead of enjoying the moment with God, I find myself thinking about how I could express how I’m enjoying the moment with God.  In doing so, the whole point of this is lost.  I realize a break is needed.  So, I won’t be writing for a little while.  How long?  I don't know.  We’ll see.    My blog called pause is now… on pause.
