a doorway

My door post prayers have been dormant for a few months now.  Even though I was rotating eight different prayers, it still seemed like it was getting old and losing it’s impact.  So I closed the door on door post prayers.

But today, thanks to my wife, as I leave the house I open the door and pass through with a prayer in my heart again; all because of a birthday gift.  Candi asked a local artist and friend to take four of the prayers and create a piece of art with them.  They are so interesting, inspiring, and beautiful!  This has brought a new freshness to door post prayers again for me.

Lord, may this entrance to our home be a place where prayers are offered as people pass in and out.  And may this always be a doorway for Your Holy Spirit to enter into our hearts.

AHHH! It's better than I even pictured. Just beautiful! Perfect!! And what a beautiful hope... that those who pass in and out of your home would experience God. I pray that be the case. I wouldn't doubt it :)

I have passed through your doorway many, many times and I can assure you that I have felt the presence of God EVERY TIME! What a beautiful tangible reminder of allowing God's love to flow through you to the ones He puts in your path everyday.
