Candi and I head home after two days with Jonah and Sara in Anderson. I enjoy the weekend all over again in the car as my mind plays through the memories… seeing their new home, unloading the packed van, a walk through the valley, my favorite meal (chicken wrapped in bacon), playing cards (the guys win), King Gyros, a heartland movie, Mocha Joes, Jake, Mary, Sara’s kids, praying for Jonah and his interview, Panera… good stuff.
Candi gets us to Kokomo, where I take over driving for the last two hours home. Should I listen to the radio, maybe catch a sports channel? No. But maybe they’ll say something about fantasy football… How about listening to that CD that Alise gave you last Sunday? Alberto and Kimberly Rivera? Yes. Okay (reluctantly).
I am immediately transported into the Father’s presence. Have I ever experienced music that so instantly moves me? I don’t think so.
Let the waters cleanse and wash me.
Purify me in your presence
Let the rain fall down upon me.
Lord, I have discovered one more way to pause and be in your presence! This anointed music will become a part of my regular routine for sure.
