One of the most meaningful steps in affirming your faith is to follow Jesus in water baptism. Baptism by immersion is an event that publicly declares an internal commitment to follow Jesus.
We celebrate baptisms several times during the year at the church… and annually as a big celebration in Lake Michigan.
If you'd like to be baptized, please attend an adult baptism class. Call the church office 269.983.1524 for details.

THE NEXT BAPTISM AT FIRST CHURCH IS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 21. If you'd like to be baptized, you are encouraged to attend a baptism class on February 14, 9:30 a.m. in Room 6. Please sign up to attend.
We do not baptize infants, but encourage parents to participate in a baby dedication, similar to the Biblical examples of the dedication of Samuel by his mother in the Old Testament and Jesus by his parents in the New Testament.
