PrimeTimer Cass County Museum Tour

DATE: Tuesday, April 24
COST: $10/person plus lunch at Zeke’s
Join us for a tour of two Dowagiac area museums. We will begin at the Dowagiac Area History Museum with an interactive adventure in local history, including exhibits on round oak stoves, a model railroad set from 1920, Civil War, WWI, WWII, and more. Then, off to lunch at Zeke’s Restaurant.
Finally, we end our day at Bonine House built by James E. Bonine in 1845. In the early 1850’s he built the carriage house that sheltered fugitive slaves, called “Freedom Seekers”. Mr. Bonine became a stationmaster of the underground railroad.
