Day Trip to Holland & White Lake Area

Come spend a day with us visiting Holland and Whitehall! The bus will leave the church at 8:00am for a full day. First, we will stop in Holland and visit the Holland Wooden Bowl Mill. We will spend about an hour there and then drive up to White Lake for lunch at Crosswinds On The Lake. The restaurant is located on White Lake. Lunch is on your own. The cost is $9-$12 including your drink.
After lunch wewill go to the new Michigan Heritage Park at Hilt’s Landing in history park. Interact with a fur traderstocking the shelves in his post. In the Settler’s Cabin, learn about the life of early settlers and helpwith daily chores. Stretch out on a bunk and hear about the lives of the lumberjacks. Find out what it took to put dinner on the table in 1900 and learn what the Civilian Conservation Corps did in Michigan.
It is a walking trail of about ½ mile but plenty of benches along the way. It is a paved path for walkers and wheelchairs. We will leave the park at 4:00 p.m. On the way home we will stop at Sherman’s arriving back in St. Joseph about 7:00 p.m.
