Our Open House is tonight, and I am on a last minute mission. And what is that mission? At first glance it may seem that my mission is to successfully gather grocery items. But actually I am more interested in praying for and being present with people.
Before I even pick up the yellow pepper I have prayed for 3 people. By the time I discover that chili sauce and grape jelly are both located in the same isle, I have given atleast half a dozen genuine greetings. The extra long search gives me more opportunities to connect with people.
I walk out feeling great. I have probably passed on Christmas cheer to over a dozen people during my short visit to Martins. I got everything on my list, but more importantly, I stayed focused on what was most important.
This can be done!
