It’s 4:00 now, it's been a three hour delay here at O'Hare Airport. I’m staring at raindrops on a window. Each one is poised to move, clinging to clear glass, defying gravity, determined to be still. I’m curious, how long can these rain drops hold on? Finally, one large drop barely moves, and swallows up a droplet below it. And after a moment, it moves again, increasing it's size slightly. Then again, and again. Now it's picking up speed as it doubles in size. Suddenly it takes off like a shooting star all the way to the bottom of the window where it disappears, leaving a streak of emptiness in it's wake. I’m strangely sad.

It's not an easy thing to stay still when life pulls you into motion.
Lord, help me defy gravity.
