First Church of God

It’s been two weeks now that I’ve been waking at 5:45 on weekdays. My initial plan was to wake at this time every day, but fortunately I realized rest on weekends was a better rhythm for me. This morning, Saturday morning, I appreciate that decision.

So now it’s 8:10am. Candi and I are on the couches in our living room reading. As I review something I read this week in our D-Group Devotion a word jumps out at me from Acts 17:11.              "eager"

Are you eager for me?                                                                                                                              For time with me?                                                                                                                                        For a deeper knowledge of me?                                                                                                                   Do you dig into my Word with eagerness?

Yes, Lord, I am at least developing more eagerness to be with You, and know You, and hear from You! Getting up earlier has been a big part of that, because I realize when I give You time, You do speak to me, and teach me, and make Your presence known to me.
