I sat on the beach today with some old friends. We really didn't talk about anything in particular. We just sat, talked, and laughed together. I think there is something special about these moments. These moments are not extravagant, they are not planned nor are they seen to be very important at the time. But, these moments are what make friendships. And, whether we realize it or not, these moments are the building blocks for relationships that will last a lifetime. Don't you think it is the same way with our Jesus? The moments that we spend reading our Bible, reading a small devotional, or just acknowledging his presence during our daily walk are the moments that help connect us to Him. These are the moments that draw us to a point of familiarity with Him. And, just as in our friendships, these moments are the building blocks for a relationship with our heavenly father that will last, not only a lifetime, but beyond! Cherish the "everyday" moments!
