hooked on speed

Martins is a great place for the people prayer.   It's been good the past few days to pray for every peson I see.  I wasn't totally successful at remembering, but it's been pretty good these past few days.  THe connection with Abba is strong when I am doing this consistently.  And it places my heart in the right place with people.

I'm here at the Martins Starbucks, hanging out with my neice and four other 7th grade girls, planning a prayer group for Lakeshore middle school. Why?  Because they went to camp and took Aarons challenge seriously to start a prayer group at school.  Our goal... to get kids at school hooked on SPEED (students praying each n' every day). With frappacinno's in hand (mine is a strawberry), we try to focus the excitement so that something can actually be accomplished today. What fun! SPEED (the event) will not happen each n' every day, only Tuesday and Thursday at 7:10. But we hope to pass on a passion for prayer that will keep kids connecting with God each n' every day.

May God bless those young ladies in their efforts, and encourage them as they walk with Him upstream against the current...

We had our first SPEED this morning! Seven kids came! That's a great start. And we all got a great start to our day by praying together!

That's wonderful! Was this off-site prior to school? May their excitement become addictive so that others may be hooked on SPEED! ;-)

We meet in the Choir Room at the school. We are blessed to be in a school district that is supportive of kids who want to meet on their own to pray!
