it seems that God, in answer to my questions of yesterday, directs me to a book by John Ortberg, “God is Closer than you Think”. He quotes someone I read a long time ago; someone I have a huge amount of respect for… Brother Lawrence. It seems that even he had times when he struggled to feel God’s presence. Wow, that was just what I needed to hear today. Don't you love that when God speaks directly to your need?
Ortberg relates seeking God to a “Where’s Waldo” book; you discover as you get deeper into the book that finding Waldo is much more difficult than it had been on previous pages. Our spiritual life can be that way too. I’m determined to continue looking for Waldo on every page of my journey.
