What Time Is It? (Picture added)

(My husband snapped this picture of Caleb and I!  As you can see these are the bright red jammies I drove to school in the very next morning!  I can't believe I am showing you this picture!)

Ok!  So, I know it's not Thursday or Sunday, but I just had to share with you about our morning!  We had a great family night last night, and all the guys went to bed a little late, but still early enough for a school night.  I could not sleep so I stayed up until FINALLY the good Lord made my eyelids a little heavy!

Anyway, for some mysterious reason our alarm clock did not go off this morning.  At 7:06 a.m. our ten year old alarm clock (Jacob) comes in asking "What time is it?"!!!  Talk about chaos!  This would have not been as big a deal if it were not for the fact that Friday's are band day for our youngest and he has to be at school 45 minutes before he normally has to be there.  So, I jumped out of bed packed lunch, band instrument, combed hair, and then managed to get my 13 year old (Caleb) to move faster than I thought possible for a teenager!  He was in and out of the shower in 10 minutes!

So, I grabbed my coat threw it on over my bright red jammies, put my house shoes on and was out the door with Jacob by 7:21!  (Which still put him at school 15 minutes early!) I know, impressive isn't it?  But, as I was driving to the school I happen to think...these roads are a little slick (We have snow on the ground in Michigan!) and if I were to run off the road or have an accident...well, I just hope whoever comes along does NOT know me!

I'm pleased to announce I made it home just fine and no one ever knew I was in my P.J.'s in the carpool line, however, they may have noticed that my hair was every which way but right!  Friday is my husband's day off, so he stayed at home with Caleb and got him to school--ON TIME!  What team work!!!  Life is Fun, isn't it?  Even today, I'm thankful for my warm jammies (I am still sitting here in them now!), my healthy boys, and a husband that can laugh and make things better even when chaos has just walked through the door!

So, we are off today to do some shopping! (As soon as I change out of my jammies!) I sure hope the rest of the day finds us more aware of what the time is!  I also hope your morning went a little smoother than mine!  Have a FABULOUS day!

Oh Crystal! If I would have seen you in the dropoff lane you would not have recognized me with my hair up, glasses on and if you look even closer, my jammies on under my coat! That's an everyday occurence for me!

I am so glad you have found an outlet for your writing. It is such a gift to all who will come across it.

See you at the grocery or maybe even church!

This is way too funny!! I have had those mornings were OUR alarm clock (Max, our 8 yr.old German Shephard) comes in and is wondering why the rest of the house is still in bed when we should be taking him outside! Not to mention, I have had many mornings were Jon (15) and Jessi (14) get ready at warped speed too! It's amazing to see them actually function that quickly! They can get done so quick in those moments, but in others- you'd get more enjoyment watching molasses run.

Hmmmm....maybe we should miss the alarm more often???
