We’re not designed to do life alone. Knowing that, we at First Church place a high value on the dynamics of living life together, in community, through small groups of people, or Life Groups. Life Groups gather in homes, at sporting events, in coffee shops and other settings to play, study Scripture, connect and look for ways to serve each other and beyond.
what is a life group?
A Life Group is a small group of people (usually around 8-10) that meet together as often as the group decides. It’s a deeper community than you get at service and it will give you a sense of belonging. It might seem like a big step, but we believe it’s worth it.
what can i expect?
A Life Group meeting usually takes place in someone's home or a restaurant, and includes food, conversation, and Biblical insights with about eight to twelve other people.
what kind of commitment will it take?
It depends on the group. Some meet weekly, some twice a month. Each group sets its own schedule and gathering place.
can i start my own group?
There’s always a need for Life Group leaders and host homes. Let us know your interest and we’ll let you know when our next Leadership Training will happen.
what if it's not the right fit?
No problem. Just try it for a month. If after that time you still feel a disconnect, try another group. There are many to choose from.
how do i find a group?
Give us a little information by filling out our interest form and we’ll try to find a good fit for you.
