The fall retreat was filled with fun times, especially the football game. Unfortunately I tweaked my ham string, which is no big surprise, because I often injure myself at youth retreats.
Now, on Monday morning, there’s no early morning basketball for me. Instead, I start my day worshipping. After creating a half hour play list of songs, I simply sit and soak in God’s Spirit while worship music washes over me. I am reminded of my Father’s amazing love. I am His child, His beloved.
Would you care to dance?
I am moved to move. Getting up out of my chair, I dance. Well, it’s more of a hobble; a holy shuffling of the feet. I am caught up in the moment; set free to love God with exuberant expressions of joy. While spinning and swaying with the Spirit a verse comes to mind.
Offer your body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing. This is your spiritual act of worship.
God had something better than basketball for me this morning!
