MAKING SENSE OF THE BIBLE
Have questions about the Bible? Making Sense of the Bible begins a new session July 5 and will be offered Sundays at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Increase your knowledge of scripture and discover spiritual, academic, historical and literary influences. Maybe you've attended a few times, or even for a while and you're trying to connect with the heart of First Church? Then take your next step and attend Discovering First Church, and learn how to move from the sidelines and find out what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ at First Church.
Discover is designed to help people understand who the Church of God is and to grasp what it means to be a partner in ministry at First Church. We look at the history of the church, explain the beliefs and teachings and even compare it to other denominations. You can learn how we're structured and will discover the unique attributes of our church family.
The class always generates good discussions... your questions are always welcome. Taught by Pastor Bob Confer, Discover will be offered in fall of 2010. Watch the website for dates and times.
PIZZA WITH PASTORS
Have a few questions that you'd like to ask, but not sure who? Then consider attending Pizza with Pastors, a casual and fun way to get to know our pastors and ask some of the questions that you may have. The next Pizza with Pastors will be offered June 13, following the 11 a.m. service at the St. Joe Campus, downstairs in the "Community Cafe".
