Palm Sunday to Easter and Everything In Between--Victory Day!

I hope that you have had a wonderful day celebrating our risen Lord!  I have enjoyed the day from beginning to end. The services today at First Church were awesome.  And, the family time we have had today has been refreshing.  But, this morning after really thinking about the story of the cross this week, there was a new awareness of the resurrection.  When I awoke to the blue sky and sunshine it really felt like Easter.  I think I have always pictured Resurrection Sunday this way...flowers blooming, birds chirping, blue sky, and the sun kissing the face of Mary as she made her way to the tomb.  So, end your day reading the story one more time.  Try to really picture this day and the surrounding events. The scripture texts for today are:  The empty tomb-Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12; John 20:1-10; Mary Magdalene sees Jesus in the Garden-Mark 16:9-11; Luke 24:13-35; Jesus appears to the two going to Emmaus-Mark 16:12-13; Luke 24:13-35; Jesus appears to 10 disciples-Mark 16:14; Luke 24:36-43; John 20:19-25.
