The first Tuesday of the month is here again; our church family gathers for prayer during the noon hour. This time we do a prayer walk…
I am deeply moved as I walk through our church building, pausing to pray about whatever comes to mind. I start in the sanctuary, praying for the musicians, Ryan, the gatherings that happen in here, for God’s Spirit to work in the hearts of our people. Then down the back stairway, laying a hand on the door of Beth’s office I pray for her new ministry as parish nurse. In the fellowship hall I pray over the seats where Just for Joy women sit, and for Sandy and her leadership. The prime timers sign prompts a prayer for Bob and that ministry. This continues as I silently walk through the church. How exciting to see so many others from our church family doing the same. Then to walk outside and witness our people wandering through the neighborhoods praying for the families living in these homes, and praying that our people will meet the needs represented there. It’s so inspiring!
I may just have to go for a prayer walk tonight through my own neighborhood on Ridge Road.
