The 30 degree weather of the windy city is a distant memory; now I’m in Orlando where it's 80 degrees of warm sunshine. However, you’ll find me and a dozen other guys on our team in the Flamingo room; a solid pink windowless cube. We wonder if this is what hell will be like… knowledge of the nearness of paradise, yet unattainable for those who have been sent for eternity to the Flamingo room.
The breathing prayer is a challenge in this new environment. I don’t have my 12 minute drive to work here in Orlando, but there’s a walk through the lobby, a ride on the elevator, or a lunch break on the balcony. And yes, even at times in the middle of a meeting with pink pepto bismol walls surrounding me, I take a moment to push pause and breathe deep.
