It was my privilege to attend your morning worship service for the first time in February. The zero wind chills and icy road conditions were not going to stop me from coming. That was because in the weeks prior to that morning service, God used your sermon series on forgiveness and I received a phone call from a dear friend after a painful fracture in our friendship.
I’m so thankful for the part that First Church played in bringing sweet restoration with such a precious friend. You were the tool God used to bridge the chasm that once separated us.
Interesting to me the week I attended First Church and sat next to my best friend, your sermon was titled, “Building Bridges to Christ.” Odd that the the ‘bridge builder’ in my life stood before me and spoke of removing obstacles, building bridges and transforming lives. Isn’t God amazing?
