send me a breeze

A whole day at Warner Camp with friends on a beautiful sunny 70 degree day.  What could be better?

Well, okay, being at a U2 show last night was better, but still, this seems perfect right now.  We're all having a solo quiet time, and I am making my way to my favorite spot.  From the beach I take the trail along the waters edge, past the field below mosquito hill, and a little further down I arrive.  But the bench is gone.  So I stand for a while taking in the view of Lester Lake; the lilly pads, the perfect still water reflecting trees and skyline from across the lake.  Amazingly, many trees already hold red leaves, full of striking color.  A slight breeze touches my face, and a song comes to mind.  "Rushing wind blow through this temple..."

Abba Father, giver of good gifts, will you send me a breeze just from You?

God responds immediately.  The perfect image of red trees reflecting on the water begins to blur as the breeze makes it's way toward me.  It touches my face and my soul.  God, You are so good to do this for me.  I sing a little stronger about Your rushing wind.

A few hours later Sara shares with us about the walk she took.  I went to that spot by the lake, but the bench was gone.  Yeah, I know, I went there too.  Well, I decided to just stand there for a while and enjoy the view.  Thats what I did too.  And as I stood there I started singing "rushing wind".  So did I!  Did God send you a breeze?  Yes!  Me too!

Rushing wind blow through this temple, blowing out the dust within.

Come and breathe Your breath upon me, I've been born again.

What a beautiful experience you two were able to share...even though it was separate! What an intimate moment as God caressed your faces! Wow...
