slow motion steps

The answer is not "A".  I did stretch out before the game, really well.  The problem is I stand around so much in softball that my muscles tighten up and don't stay warm.  Anyway, I'm not one to think that God makes bad things happen to me.  But I am quite certain that God uses stopped trains and flat tires to accomplish His purpose.

Okay, this is strange, and I just now remembered it.  The softball game was Monday night.  Earlier that morning I went for a run, and towards the end I was recalling an experience that Jonah and Sara had in their temple visit where they took like a half hour to move thirty feet by taking super slow motion steps.  Try to imagine yourself walking down the sidewalk, moving your feet in super slow mo.  Would that test your patience or what?  Well, I got the crazy idea to finish my run like that.  It was only a brief thought that left my brain as quick as it came.  In a way, this pulled muslce has accomplished the same purpose as the slow motion temple walk.  It really has slowed me to a snails pace.  So maybe I do need to take a deep breath and slow down, not just my feet, but my spirit as well.

What do I lose when I let my life become a fast and furious run?

What will I gain by taking some slow motion steps?

I feel ya, man! I think we miss so much when our mind and bodies are going 100 miles an hour. That was a great lesson from the temple. Let's put it into action! What a crappy thing, to have this injury... but good things can come from it, right?! :)
