Lunch Club

Attention 6th and 7th grade grads! Don't laze around all summer bored, when you can do LUNCH CLUB! We will meet Wednesdays, starting June 16 - July 28, from 12:30 to 4:30. Bring your own lunch and experience the good feeling of doing nice things for other people. Registration forms are available in the church office.

We start out with lunch, then we do a service project.

“How is that fun?”

you ask. Hey, it’s time you discovered the good feeling of doing nice things for others. We package food for hungry families, wash windshields at the hospital, visit shut-ins, give a free car wash to the community, paint buildings (and each other), and lots of other projects.

The truth is, although most of you despise doing chores at home, many of you love to work hard to serve really needy people.  This summer is a perfect time in your life to experience the positive side of serving!  So instead of sitting around doing nothing this summer, get in with the Lunch Club. You must pre-register by June 9th. Please fill out the Lunch Club Registration and put it into the Registration mailbox at First Church. Please DO NOT register online.

Fresh Start Retreat

June 10-11, 2010 | Starting Thursday at 6 pm - Ending Friday at 9 pm

8th grade grads, we want to get to know you and help you to feel great about starting high school! All HS students are invited to this retreat. Download a Registration Form and return it to church by June 6th.

Summer Camp

Summer camp at WARNER in Grand Junction, Michigan is definitely the coolest thing we do all year.

If you only do one thing all year, make sure it is THIS!

JH2 @ Warner Camp  |  June 21-25 (7th & 8th Grade Grads):
JH1 @ Warner Camp
  |  June 28-July 2 (6th & 7th Grade Grads):
KK3 @ Warner Camp  August 2-6 (5th & 6th Grade Grads):

First of all, it’s the most fun you could ever have. What makes it fun? The climbing wall, the ice berg, the arrow ball, the mud pit, the sand pit lana schism, the shaving crème war, the marshmallow gun war, the paintball, the crazy fun times in the tabernacle, the challenges, good friends, and it goes on and on. What’s not fun about Warner Camp?

Okay, what I like most about camp though is that it’s a life changing time for everyone who goes. You’ll never be the same after camp. Your friendships are deeper, and your relationship with God grows to such an amazing place.  Many kids say that their experience at Warner Camp was a changing point in their life!

There are 3 great middle school camps, but Chris Spitters will only be at 2 of them (KK3 and JH2), not JH1. I hope you can come to one of the camps he's directing so you can experience camp together!
