After hours of airport delays, I arrive at the hotel in Orlando after midnight. Looking back, it was a great day. As an introvert, I was energized by some alone time. The day gave me many moments to breathe deep the name of God. I got in a nap, some reading, and also helped a single mom carry her heavy bags to gate 54.
This morning did not start well. For the first time since I started my experiment, I missed my morning wake up with God. Why? My hotel alarm did not go off, so when I woke up my first thought was, “Did I miss the meeting?” From there I started thinking about the day ahead of me. I guess having my first thought of the day go to God is seriously connected to the sound of my alarm clock now. Fortunately, some sort of inner alarm warns me (better late than never).
