It’s Sunday night and I am pumped, excited to spend 5 days with 5th & 6th graders here at Warner Camp. Tonight it’s just us leaders getting ready; the kids won’t arrive until tomorrow morning. Our counselors and CIT’s get to meet Aaron; an old friend and our speaker for the week. We all can sense his passion to bring God’s Word to the kids. I’m so happy to have him here. After a few hours of training we are finished, feeling fully equipped for the week.
The sun is setting as we make our way down to Lester Lake where I get the joy of baptizing three friends; Sarah, Kelli and Mikayla. It’s a perfect night. Family and friends gather on the dock and shoreline to witness the event. We make our way into the water where old lives are washed away, and all things are made new.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.”
Later we gather in the lodge and worship by candle light. The powerful presence of the Spirit is so real to us all. We close with a special time to mingle and pray blessings over each other. Expectations are high as we look forward to what God wants to do in and through us this week!
