The Right Order!

(This is the soccer team Caleb played with this fall...SWM Strikers Elite.  Caleb is on the far left in the front row!)

I spent my evening watching Caleb play Futsal at Lakeside Sports Center, here in St. Joe!  Terri and Jessica Sing recently opened the facility and it has become a Saturday evening regular on our schedule!  Futsal is basically soccer played on a smaller indoor field with a weighted soccer ball.  It is very fast paced and alot of fun to watch. Caleb enjoys playing because it has really helped improve his foot skills and tightened up his passing!  His favorite sport is soccer and he is not picky when, where, or how he plays just as long as he gets to play and Lakeside has afforded him the opportunity to play even on these cold winter days!

Isn't it amazing what lengths we will go to for our hobbies?  There is ice-fishing, mountain climbing, parachuting, bungee jumping, marathon running, golfing, soccer, quilting, scrapbooking, and even ultimate fighting.  All of these things are so important to some people they will spend hours involved in them, dollars invested in them, and they will even risk their lives to "enjoy" them.  But, what about the Lord?  What would we do to spend time with Him?  What about our money?  What about our lives?

I think we fail to really see what we are giving our lives to.  It is so easy to get caught up in something, that we don't even realize that another part of our life is suffering.  Priorities are a choice...one we make everyday.  Open your calendar and take an honest look at where most of your time, money, and focus lies.  All of us need those moments of enjoyment...all of us need a hobby...all of us need to take time out...and, all of us need a Savior!

I plan to enjoy many Saturday evenings watching Caleb play soccer at Lakeside. But, I also plan on spending many moments with my Jesus! What about you?  When is the last time you evaluated your schedule?  Make some time for family, fun, and faith!  Just make sure they are in the right order!!!!

I preach this all the time and try to evaluate myself often but usually find I have room for improvement!
