I seem to be stuck talking about my boys for whatever reason. I think it is just that they have been quite humorous lately. We just got back in town from an abbreviated family vacation. We took the boys out of school for a couple of days and went to Wisconsin. I know...I know...why did we go farther north instead of deep south? Well, as I told you in a previous entry the boys recently learned how to snow ski. So, we went to Wisconsin to ski, and just have some "face" time with them for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and I will tell you more about our little trip later. Anyway, the boys went back to school on Thursday! So this morning Caleb got up and began his normal routine of getting ready. After he showered and had breakfast I heard him in the bathroom again. I asked him what he was doing and he said..."Washing my hair." To which I replied..."But you already took a shower." He said something to the affect of..."My hair didn't do right, so I'm starting over." I decided not to comment because at this point nothing surprises me when it comes to Caleb and the whole "getting ready" thing. After he left for school I asked David what was up with the whole hair deal with Caleb this morning. And, he said...."Well, according to him he used a beach towel to dry off this morning instead of a regular bath towel. And, he said that drying his hair with the beach towel messed it up." Now, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Aren't all towels made of terry cloth? And, what does drying your hair off with a larger towel have to do with it actually getting fixed? I do not know the answers to these questions, but I do know that God Almighty is going to have to bless me with a lot of restraint this afternoon. Because it is going to take all that I have within me not to make fun of this event! And, please use the restraint God has given you not to tell him I told all of you about this. I am hoping that he does not choose to read my blog this week, or I may be in serious trouble. Now, don't think my son is vain...I just chalk this up to the insanity that comes with the sudden influx of hormones known as puberty! I just thought you could use a good laugh this morning. I guess if we can't laugh at our teenagers we might as well go crazy...as I am sure this is only the beginning of weird, inexplicable, outrageous things my teenager will come up with!!!! Pray for me, will you?
