God has a track record of making the impossible, possible. We believe God will honor our obedience to accomplish His goals for First Church and the communities He wants us to bless with the overflow of His blessing.
It's critical that we understand that in order to do this, it requires 100% participation in the capacity that God directs each individual member/household. Our $2.7 million goal will be accomplished individual by individual and family by family in three years. And watch what God will do.
$2.7 million รท 800 Households = $3,375 in 3 years
$2.7 million is based on $2,218,400 Mortgage Principle + $205,700 Mortgage Interest (three years), to the sum of $2,424,100 to eliminate our debt. Based on that figure, First Church has committed to tithe 10% on every dollar that is received (projected amount: $275,900) through Vision 3.10 in order to pour God's blessings into Safe Shelter, Inc. in Benton Harbor and into the Jjajja Njagala Project and a church building project in Uganda, Africa. Total amount: $2,700,000.
This could mean $100 to $1,000,000 per household in 3 years... those specific numbers are between each person who calls First Church his/her 'church home' and God. Pray about it and dream of the freedom that First Church could have to expand our ministries internationally and right at our front door. Think of the lives that can be changed, the hearts we can touch and the blessings that await us. Then ask God what part He wants you to play in this. God is ready to open up the floodgates if we faithfully respond.
