HOST FAMILIES NEEDED: MAR 13 The Anderson University Chorale, a 48-voice choir, will perform in concert at First Church on Tuesday, March 13, 7:00pm.We need 12-18 host families to place 2-4 young men or women overnight. Host families would provide adequate sleeping arrangements, breakfast on Wednesday morning, and transportation to and from church on Tuesday after the concert and Wednesday morning. FCOG PRE-SCHOOL REGISTRATION: FEB 29 Registration of new families for the 2012/13 preschool year will begin in the Life Center of our St. Joseph campus of First Church on February 29, 8:00am. Current families will be able to register February 28, 8:00am.
COMMUNITY CAFE Community Cafe serves a hot family meal Wednesdays, 5:00-6:15pm, at our SJ campus.
SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY We’re beginning the Book of Hebrews in this casual group Sunday mornings at 9:30am in Room 2 of our SJ campus if you would like to understand the Bible better, studying one chapter at a time.
BLOOD PRESSURE CLINICS: MAR 4 Blood pressures will be checked free at both campuses next Sunday (SJ-10:30-11am / BH: 12-12:30pm)
ASSIMILATION TRAINING: MAR 4 If you serve as an usher, greeter, Welcome Center volunteer, or parking lot attendant OR if you are interested in serving in these areas of ministry, please meet with Chad Harlan in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, March 4, immediately following the 11:00 service. Pizza will be served. RSVP to the church office.
FIRST TUESDAYS PRAYER: MAR 6 Please join the First Church staff in prayer and fasting the first Tuesday of each month, March 6-May 2, 12-1pm. We will meet at the front of the sanctuary at our SJ campus. Feel free to come and go as needed. The primary focus will be, "By God’s grace, may lives be transformed through the work of First Church in our community."
ROOTS CLASS SHARE: MAR 7 Our Share class begins March 7, 6:30-8pm. This 4-week class will help prepare and equip you to share the message of Jesus to anyone at any time.
DRAW NEAR PRAYER EVENT: MARCH 10 Join together on Saturday, March 10 from 9-12 as we meet together in a quiet place to draw near to our Heavenly Father who longs to draw near to us.
LIFE GROUP LEADER GATHERING: MAR 13 Our Life Group Ministry is trying to connect with all First Church Life Groups. There will be a Life Group Leadership Gathering March 13, 7pm, in the Fellowship Hall of our SJ campus for all leaders or potential leaders of Life Groups at First Church!
GROWING IN GRACE: MAR 24 Dr. Linda Mintle is the featured speaker at the "Growing in Grace" conference to be held Saturday, March 24, at our SJ campus. Along with Dr. Mintle, there will be eight breakout sessions. Cost for this one-day conference is just $25 (includes your lunch). Be sure to pick up a brochure and register today.
